Fill in the blank. I’d really like some help _____________.
losing a bit of weight so that I can do a better job helping coach my son’s soccer team
investigating if a diet change can reduce the arthritis plaguing me in my hands
trying to reverse my recent diagnosis of type 2 diabetes
improving my energy level. I feel drained by 2:00 in the afternoon.
Great news! There is no wrong answer. If any of these, or something similar, sounds like something that you’d like help with, then you’re in the right place.

I started noticing the effects nutrition in fourth grade, when it became apparent by regular experiences of migraine headaches, chest pains, and vomiting (sorry for that visual) that my body didn’t like peanut oil, which was shockingly present in the spoonfuls of peanut butter that I would regularly consume as my evening snack. Later in life, the early years of married life and learning how to be a parent often made the easy choice for dinner a Hardees Monster Thickburger two or more nights per week: a great way to eliminate that extra space in the neckline of your shirt or waist of your pants! I had quickly ballooned to my heaviest unfit self.
I’ve learned a lot about nutrition since then, and am now in probably the best shape of my life at 40 years old. I continue to learn often about how certain foods and activities make me feel better or worse, and all of these experiences with nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle, along with a Mechanical Engineer’s mind set for root-cause problem solving, and a love of CrossFit, are what sparked my interest to pursue a health coaching certification.
